Recovery Truck Fined For Carrying Excess Weight In The Midlands

A €200 fine and penalty points were issued.

A recovery truck driver has been fined for carrying excess weight in Laois. 

The Roads Policing Unit stopped the small recovery vehicle, which was carrying a large SUV, at a checkpoint in Cappakeel yesterday.

Gardaí suspected it was in excess of its maximum design weight. 

The truck was taken to a local designated weigh bridge where it was found to be 300kgs overweight. 

A €200 fine and penalty points were issued.
