Banagher Open Water Pool and Shannonbridge Marina are benefitting from a €1 million investment
Two regenerative tourism projects officially opened in Offaly today along the River Shannon following a €1 million investment.
The developments include a revamped Banagher Open Water Pool and a new floating jetty at Shannonbridge Marina.
Funded through Fáilte Ireland and the EU Just Transition Fund, the projects aim to boost sustainable tourism and local economies.
The Banagher pool now offers a year-round, accessible swimming facility, while the Shannonbridge jetty increases mooring capacity and safety for water users.
Enterprise Minister Peter Burke says the upgrades will strengthen the region’s appeal as a key outdoor destination:
