Reopening of HSE Civil Registration Office For Offaly Confirmed

The temporary closure of the Tullamore office meant no one could book or register wedding ceremonies in the county.

A civil registration office in an Offaly town has reopened after concerns for its future.

It follows concerns over a temporary closure of the HSE's Tullamore office leaving people unable to book or register wedding ceremonies in the county.

Fine Gael TD for Offaly John Clendennen claims someone has been hired temporarily to allow services to resume, and that a full recruitment process will follow.

He says there needs to be better contingency plans in future:
