Portarlington Leisure Centre is at no serious risk of shutting down.
That's according to local councillor and leisure centre board member Aidan Mullins, who's expressing surprise that one of the most successful leisure centres in the province could be considered at high risk of closure in Laois County Council's recent manager's report.
He says the company is in good shape and its reserve will keep it afloat and cover current running costs.
