Covid-19 restrictions are being lifted with immediate effect in Laois and Offaly but will remain in Kildare.
The Government closed cafes, bars and restaurants in the three counties two weeks ago after a spike in cases.
The Health Minister says he can announce the lifting of restrictions as the number of cases in Laois and Offaly dropped.
Stephen Donnelly says he knows it's difficult news for families, communities and businesses in Kildare however the Fianna Fail TD reassured parents and students that schools in the county will reopen.
Increased testing will remain in place in the three counties.

He is asking everyone to follow the new guidelines announced this week, he said the people in Laois, Offaly and Kildare have shown the rest of the country that targeted measures can surpass the virus:

Ronan Glynn says the number of cases from community transmission in Laois and Offaly has decreased.
