Protests are taking place across the midlands and the country this afternoon.
Retired postal workers are protesting in Westmeath today as part of a national demonstration against what they're calling the "severe financial hardship" they're facing.
The Post Office Pensioners Union says the 2013 Pension Accord is preventing increases to pensions eroding their real value.
Peaceful protests are set to take place in Mullingar, Longford, Thurles, Castlebar, Ballina, Sligo, Cork and at the GPO in Dublin from 1pm until 2pm this afternoon.
The demonstrations come ahead of an appearance next week by all parties involved before the Oireachtas Committee on Arts, Media, Communications, Culture and Sport.
