It came as part of an intelligence-led operation carried out in Offaly on Wednesday, which saw over 50,000 cigarettes and 1.1kg worth of tobacco seized, as well as a vehicle and €4,000 in cash.
It represents a loss of around €34,000 to the Exchequer.
Separately, just under €600,000 worth of cigarettes were seized at Dublin Airport, and had originated in Bulgaria, while €25,000 worth of cigarettes, a vehicle and €11,000 in cash were seized in Louth, with the assistance of Detector Dog Toby.
