The figures from the Gardaí show there's been a slight increase in the number of people arrested for traffic offences, up from 216 this time last year.
Collisions involving material damage have seen the largest jump, from 171 this time last year to 184 in the third quarter of 2022.
There were no fatalities on the county's roads last quarter, a reduction of 1 from 2021, which Chief Superintendent John Scanlan says he's very grateful for.
Crashes with non-serious injuries have also seen a drop, from 22 last year, to 20 this year, while collisions leading to serious injuries is down from four to one.
There's been an increase in the number of intoxicated driving offences, from 18 in the third quarter of 2021, to 23 in the same period this year.
Chief Superintendent Scanlan says drink and drug driving is a particular area of concern for Laois Gardaí.
