Over 800 Drivers Caught Speeding On National Slow Down Day

The Irish Road Victims Association is appealing to motorists to take extra care today.

The Irish Road Victims Association is appealing to motorists to take extra care on National Slow Down Day. 

Gardaí say 878 people have already been caught travelling over the speed limit so far today.

That includes a motorist detected at 137km/h in a 120km/h Zone on the M7 at Meelick Portlaoise, while another car was detected at 85km/h in a 50km/h Zone on the Arden Road, Tullamore.
