It's Director General Kevin Bakhurst met Minister for Media Patrick O’Donovan yesterday in what he's describing as "extremely constructive" talks after the broadcaster received €20 million less than expected in Budget 2027.
The Irish Times reports that Minister O’Donovan is expected to bring a memo to Government in the coming weeks on the its funding, potentially including licence fee reforms to boost revenue.
