Rumours Of Refugees Moving Into New Site False, Says Local Election Candidate

The new centre is due to take in over 80 Ukrainian refugees.

An Offaly Councillor says nobody has moved into a new refugee accommodation site in the county, despite recent rumours.

Inchmore House in Clara is due to take in 88 people fleeing the war in Ukraine, following a contract acceptance late last year.

Independent Local Election Candidate, Sandy Feehan-Smollen, says she's been accused of lying about the refugees due to be accommodated at the site.

She recently visited the former boarding school, and says it's being finished to a high standard, but it's still not a home:
