This year's London Marathon begins in the English capital on Sunday morning.
A Laois woman who survived sepsis is to run the London Marathon this weekend in honour of her late husband.
Sue Harte moved from Portlaoise to Clapham in London in the 1980's with her husband Damien.
Damien later passed away in 2020 after developing sarcoma, a rare form of cancer, with Sue also later surviving sepsis in 2023.
Ms Harte has managed to raise over €11,000 for Sarcoma UK.
This year's Marathon takes place on Sunday, from 9am.
