It's being run by Stradbally Woodland Railway.
A fundraiser is underway in Laois to ensure two steam trains see the railway tracks in 2021.
The 'save our steam' campaign wants to raise €10,000 to cover the costs of operating and maintaining their locomotives Roisin and a Mann steam tractor in Stradbally.
The Mann engine is currently in England undergoing works and part of the fund will be used to bring it back.
