A local Tidy Towns group is appealing for information in relation to the vandalism.

An Offaly Tidy Towns organisation is condemning what it describes as 'senseless' destruction of property.

A tree was uprooted from a pot outside Galvin's in Tullamore over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Flower beds, worth around €150, were also destroyed, with members of Tullamore Tidy Towns gathering to repair the damage.

The group's Chairperson, Shane Murray, says he would like to see those responsible volunteer with them:
