Longford Westmeath TD Sorca Clarke is calling for more support for SATU's.
Sinn Fein is calling on the government to step up and support sexual assault victims.
This comes following the latest annual report from the country’s Sexual Assault Treatment Units, which reveal an increase in the proportion of cases involving sexual assault by two or more individuals.
Mullingar SATU saw a 7% increase in attendees over twelve months from 2023 to 2024, with the 18-25 age range accounted for the highest attendees.
Below 18 years of age accounted for 25.5% of attendees in 2024 which was an increase of 5.5% from 2023.
