Sexual Offences Had Lowest Detection Rate In 2018 

New CSO figures look at the most common crimes and the rate at which they're detected by Gardaí.

The Justice Minister says it's disappointing that sexual offences had the lowest detection rate last year. 

Laois Fine Gael TD Charlie Flanagan is commenting on new figures from the CSO which looked at the most common crimes and the rate at which they're detected by Gardaí.

According to the report, Gardaí solved three-quarters of murders committed last year and drug offences had the highest detection rate.
