Dog-owners are being urged to keep tabs on their pets.

Dog-owners are being urged to keep tabs on their pets after a series of dog attacks in the midlands.

Sean McNamara from the Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers' Association lost four of his own sheep after an attack by two dogs in Westmeath on New Year's Day. 

Two years ago, he lost 40 animals. 

With lambs on the way, he's appealing to dog-owners to be aware of the devastation that unsupervised pets can cause:
