Brian Stanley is topping the polls and according to tallies he has over 16,000 first preference votes.

Fianna Fail is expecting the quota to be just over 11,300 and it's expected the out going TD will be the only one to be elected on the first count.
Barry Cowen and Sean Fleming of Fianna fail look safe.
Fine's Gael's Charlie Flanagan is also likely to be returned to the dail however his party colleague Marcella Corcoran Kennedy looks to be in trouble with just over 4,000 first preference votes.

Independent Carol Nolan will also be hoping to pick up transfers if she's to be returned to Dail Eireann as tallies put her at just half of the votes she needs to meet the quota.
