Sinn Fein are in discussions with other party's regarding a suitable candidate.
Sinn Fein will decide next week whether to put forward their own candidate or back one from outside the party for the upcoming Presidential Election in November.
That's according to Laois Senator Maria Mccormack, with the party still in discussions with other parties regarding a joint bid.
Fianna Fail are also yet to decide their candidate in the race for the Áras, while Heather Humphreys appears to be on the cusp of securing the Fine Gael selection.
