That's according to Derek Boyd, Member of the St. Vincent De Paul Society in Birr who will give out over 400 hampers this Christmas to families in need.
The organisation helps people through their food appeal, shops and donations.
People can struggle in the festive season with bills, transport and illnesses, and SVP provide a helpline for anyone to get in contact.
