It may be upgraded as Storm Ashley approaches.
A status yellow wind warning has been issued for Laois, Offaly and Westmeath this weekend.
The first named storm of the winter season-Storm Ashley-is due to hit Ireland on Sunday and is in place from 10 AM Sunday to midnight on Monday.
The wind warning covers most of the country with the exception of Galway and Mayo who are under a status orange wind alert.
It may be upgraded as the path of the storm becomes clearer over the weekend.
Met Eireann warns that potential impacts of the storm may include some fallen trees, branches ,difficult driving and cycling condition, debris and loose objects displaced.
