EDs are around the country are experience a rise in the number of people presenting with respiratory illnesses.
Regional Hospital Tullamore is asking people to "stay home" if you're feeling any symptoms that could be flu or a virus.
EDs remain busy, and high levels of respiratory illness have been recorded, with an estimate of a further three thousand cases to come in the next few weeks.
People are being asked to consider other options before attending an emergency department, such as their local GP or injury unit.
