Students' Unions are continuing to run 'Digs Drives' across the country.
They're calling on residents near colleges and universities to offer a room in their home to a student for the academic year.
According to AMLÉ,formerly the USI, 1 in 8 students at the TUS are relying on digs, while at DCU 62% of students are working more than 11 hours a week and can't cover their weekly costs.
The body says students are missing out on some of the most valuable aspects of their college years due to the rent crisis.
