Over 2,500 people are believed to be living with epilepsy in the Laois, Offaly, and Westmeath.
Epilepsy Ireland is calling on the midlands to take part in their new 24-Hour Squat Challenge for Purple Day.
The challenge involves completing at least 24 squats per day.
Purple day is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing funds and awareness about epilepsy worldwide.
An estimated 870 people are living with epilepsy in Laois, 910 in Westmeath and in Offaly the number is 785.
