Fianna Fail have been defending the intentions of the Fine Gael leader today.
Fianna Fail accepts Leo Varadkar passing a confidential document to a friend in a GP union wasn't best practice but is defending his intentions.
Their Laois/Offaly TD Barry Cowen says the Tánaiste was aiming to ensure that both GP unions would agree a contract negotiated with the IMO.
The Fine Gael leader will make a statement and take questions in the Dail tomorrow to address the issue.
Deputy Cowen says that should draw a line under the matter:
