A teenager has been arrested following a double burglary in Westmeath last weekend.
Two shops in the Irishtown and Ballinea areas of Mullingar were robbed in the space of 30 minutes on Saturday evening.
Staff were threatened by three men, who fled both scenes with cash and cigarettes.
A car, taken from a housing estate in Mullingar, was found burned out in Kilbeggan later that evening.
The underage teen is due to appear before Athlone District Court at 10.30 this morning.
Garda investigations continue.
