The deal will now be in place until the end of January.
A Workplace Relations Commission agreement that covers temporary lay-offs at Tara Mines has been extended.
After SIPTU met management yesterday, the union says the company's agreed to extend the deal until the 31st of January.
It includes a €65 retainer to all workers on temporary lay-off along with the extension to the premium payment of health insurance.
