She suffers with a serious skin condition called Butterfly syndrome.
Three cyclists are beginning a 570km trip from the top to the bottom of Ireland this morning in support of a Laois woman with rare skin condition.
Conor McGarry, Johann Erasmus and David Phelan have raised €26,000 for DEBRA Ireland ahead of their journey.
It starts in Malin Head Co. Donegal and finishes in Dingle, Co. Kerry but will encompass much of the west coast of the country including the Aran Islands.
Mr. McGarry says they're happy to help Abbeyleix' Emma Fogarty who suffers with Butterfly syndrome.
