The bank is also expanding its services with An Post.
AIB will make three of its branches in the midlands cashless this autumn, as it claims demand for cash services has dropped and the cost of security has risen.
Birr, Edenderry and Rathdowney are among 70 branches nationwide making the move.
AIB says ATMs will be removed from these branches.
The bank says it will allow it to focus on other priorities, including mortgages, loans and investments.

It's also expanding its services with An Post, so that AIB customers can lodge up to €5,000 a week and withdraw €1,500 in cash a day from their bank account at any post office.
