The public consultation on the Tullamore Regeneration Framework has been launched.
Three high priority projects have been identified in the future development of an Offaly town.
Offaly County Council has launched the public consultation on the Tullamore Regeneration Framework.
Converting Market Square to an attractive and flexible public space, and the development of High Street and the Cormac Street Roundabout are high on the priority list for the local authority, as part of the plan.
The Council also highlights eight opportunity areas, including the former Texas site, which it hopes to bring back into use as a private and public space.
It also suggests reducing the dominance of vehicles in the town, and creating an environment more conducive to walking and cycling.
Offaly County Council says the Framework plan presents a forward-looking vision for the town, and forms part of a bid to make Tullamore an attractive place to live, work and do business.
Submissions can be made in writing to Tullamore Municipal District, Town Hall, Cormac Street, Tullamore, or by emailing tullamoremd@offalycoco.ie before July 25th.
