A midlands mother of a child with autism believes time is running out for the government to intervene to provide additional needs school places.
Founder of Autism Parents Athlone, Claire Early, has been responding to the Special Education Minister's promise that autistic children will have a post-primary school place this September.
Speaking in the Dáil this morning, Minister Josepha Madigan has said she will intervene and force schools to provide essential resources, invoking Section 37A of the Education Act if necessary.
But the Monksland mother says it's hard to get excited about the news:
