The Enterprise Minister is confident Ireland’s new National Tourism Policy will meet its target.
Ambitious goals will be set for Fáilte Ireland and tourism bodies, on employment numbers and visitor spend, as the policy sets out to increase overseas revenue to €9bn by 2031, a 50% rise from 2024.
Tourism Minister and Longford-Westmeath TD Peter Burke believes digitalisation is the key to attract visitors all year round to the tourism industry.
