The Midlands trails network of walking, waterways and cycling connections are in line for major funding.
Failte Ireland is saying Tourism will be the driving force behind the midlands' Just Transition.
€68 million in funding is being allocated for a "regenerative tourism scheme", with a total of eight midlands counties set to benefit.
€30 million of that is going towards the Midlands Trails Network of walking, waterways and cycling connections, with €38 million set aside for low carbon infrastructure and experiences and smart solution development.
