Traffic volumes in Laois and Offaly have decreased by up to 20 percent despite people still being allowed travel through the affected areas.
The largest drop has been experienced on the N77 via Abbeyleix.
Similar reductions were also noted on both the N77 in Portlaoise and the N62 in Birr.
