He's accused of murdering a man in Waterford when he was 17.
The trial of a Laois man accused of murder is re-opening today.
Dean Kerrie of St. Brigid's Square, Porarlington is accused of murdering 25 year old Jack Power at Shanakiel, Dunmore East, Co. Waterford on 26th July 2018.
Mr. Kerrie - who was 17 at the time - claims he was acting in self-defence after Mr. Power entered his home.
A jury had failed to reach a verdict on the case back in February.
The 20 year old will appear before Mr. Justice Paul McDermott at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin at 11.30 this morning.
