Colm Murray passed away following a collision on Monday night.

Tributes are being paid to a man who died in a car crash in Westmeath.

Colm Murray passed away following a collision on Monday night in Griffinstown, near Kinnegad.

He's being remembered as a kind hearted, remarkable young man by Columba College in Killucan, where he spent six years as a student.

Colm was a player for both Coralstown-Kinnegad and Raharney, and Westmeath GAA says he was one of the most talented young footballers in the county.

Treasurer of Coralstown Kinnegad, Kevin McGrath, has been speaking to Midlands 103's Kamron Clarke, and says he 'transcended the club:'
