The Teachers Union of Ireland is voicing its concerns over the role of AI in schools.
It comes as industry experts in the AI sector are implying that the Government is considering rolling out ChatGPT in schools across Ireland.
General Secretary of the TUI , Tullamore's Michael Gillespie, says the union received no consultation on the proposed installation of AI.
He believes this move poses no threat to the job security of teachers in the future.
Mr Gillespie says there hasn't been enough work done to even think about introducing AI:
