The discovery was made by Gardaí during a search in Monksland, Athlone on Wednesday.
It's as part of an investigation into an aggravated burglary in Garbally Demesne, Ballinasloe on the 27th of December.
Three men, aged in their 30's and 40's, were arrested and detained at a Garda Station in Galway, but have since been released without charge, pending further investigations.
