Two men have been arrested in County Laois as part of a cross border terrorism investigation.
The men, in their 40s and 30s were detained after a vehicle was stopped yesterday and a number of items seized.
They are currently being questioned at a Garda Station in the midlands.
In a statement, Gardai say they are working with the PSNI in the North, where searches were carried out and a number of items, including electronic devices, were removed for further examination.
