The incident occurred in the Kilminchy area of Portlaoise on Sunday morning at around 11.45am.
Two men, both in their 20s, have been taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who may have camera or dashcam footage to come forward.
