They were chosen out of 300 applications from around the country.
Two midlands primary schools have been selected as part of the €2.36 million ''Creative Schools'' initative in 2019.
Daingean NS in Offaly and St.Mary's NS in Westmeath were chosen from 300 applicants to the Department of Education.
Each school will be provided with access to a creative associate to draft a development plan and then given a €2,000 grant to implement it.
The scheme was rolled out amongst 150 schools in last year and has now been extended.
