The move follows weeks of warm and dry weather.
A nationwide hosepipe ban comes into force on Friday as pressure on the country's water supplies continues to grow.
Uisce Éireann is extending its Water Conservation Order to every county until August 26th, following weeks of hot, dry weather and exceptionally high demand.
The ban covers activities including watering gardens with a hose, washing private cars, and filling paddling pools and ornamental ponds.
