Repairs in Rhode and the surrounding areas are set to be completed by 9am.
People in an Offaly village are being hit with water supply disruptions today.
Customers and businesses in Rhode and the surrounding areas are experiencing disruptions following a burst water main.
Uisce Éireann says an alternative water supply has been made available at the Rhode Inn for affected customers.
Customers are also being advised to bring their own containers when collecting water from tankers and to boil the water before use as a precautionary measure.
Repairs are expected to be completed by 9am tomorrow, with a warning to customers that supply may take three to four hours to return fully after the estimated restoration time.
James Joyce, Uisce Éireann, said:
"We understand how inconvenient an unexpected water outage can be for the people of Rhode and the surrounding areas. Our main priority is fixing this burst and returning a normal supply to all our customers. We really appreciate everyone in the community bearing with us while our crews get water back to homes and businesses."
