People in living in an Offaly town are facing water supply and travel disruption as Uisce Eireann plans upgrade works in the area.
200 metres of old and damaged watermains are being replaced on Orchard Lane in Birr in the coming weeks, with the works expected to be completed by the end of August.
The lane will be closed with a diversion in place, and there will be short term water supply interruptions.
Uisce Eireann says it will issue 48 hour notices prior to any interruptions for planned works in the area.
