It'll mean a number of administrative staff moving from the current Portlaoise hub.
There'll be an increased Garda presence in areas of rural Laois in the coming months.
Some administrative staff will be redeployed around the county as a result of the completion of upgrades to eight stations around the county.
Clonaslee, Durrow, Borris-In-Ossory, Ballylinan, Mountmellick, Portarlington, Arles and Sradbally are being upgraded.
