Cara Rescue Dogs are issuing an urgent appeal after eight newborn puppies were found abandoned in the Athlone area.
Ideally they are looking for a feeding female dog with milk that will be able to give natural feeds as this is the best method for the puppies to recover and develop.
Short of that they are asking for people with experience with dogs, who are available to bottle feed two puppies every two hours. The dogs must be taken in pairs for warmth and company.
A minimum of a two to three week commitment is required and they must be available to collect from the Athlone area.
If you are able to help, they are asking you to contact them on 086-868 4868.
