They want to help refugees integrate into the community.
A community integration group in Westmeath will be officially re-launching for the first time since the pandemic.
Cairde Nua, formerly based in Athlone but now moved to Moate, was originally set up for single parents in 2014, then extended to the larger community with a focus on forming new relationships.
New cultural events, such as learning African Dance, are aimed at helping integrate refugees, including Ukrainians, to their communities.
The launch event will take place on September 11th.
