Labour Councillor for Kinnegad Denis Leonard is making the point over a planned 125 residental units and a childcare facility on Kinnegad's Killucan Road.
He's among over 20 objections lodged to the local authority against the development alongside residents in nearby housing estate Manorfield.
Traffic, safety concerns and a lack of community consultation on the project are listed as concerns, with an appeal submitted to An Comisiun Pleanala.
