An amenity park in Moate has won a national community tourism award.
Dún na Sí Amenity & Heritage Park was the winner of the overall Community Tourism Initiative catagory in this years Pride of Place Community awards.
The awards-which is now in its twenty-second year-aims to highlight the work that volunteers and local community development workers do.
The winners were revealed at a gala ceremony in the Hillgrove Hotel in Monaghan on Saturday evening.
General Manager of Dún Na Sí Karen Nugent says the award is fitting due to the origins of the park:
