Monaghan has the lowest rated roads according to a new report.
Westmeath has some of the highest quality roads in the country.
Over half had little or no defects, according to the latest report from the National Oversight and Audit Commission.
Just under 40% of roads in both Laois and Offaly have a Pavement Surface Condition Index rating of 9-10.
However, Offaly also ranks among the highest in the country in terms of roads with structural defects, or a rating of between 1-4.
Nationwide, Galway County has most highly rated road infrastructure, while Monaghan had the most lowly rated.
